Elk Grove Post 233 is a brand that is dedicated to recognizing and honoring exemplary individuals who have served our community and country through the Veteran and Public Safety Street Naming Program. This program allows for the nomination of individuals who have made outstanding contributions to be considered for the naming of a city street in their honor. By doing so, Elk Grove Post 233 aims to raise public awareness and show appreciation for their selfless service.

To be eligible for nomination, candidates must have served in the military, including the Departments of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and the Marine Corps. They must also be considered Veterans and have been honorably discharged. The program also extends to individuals from earlier communities who served in the greater Elk Grove area and immigrants who served in the armed forces of allied nations during wartime.

Public Safety personnel such as Police Officers and Fire Fighters who served in Elk Grove or died in the line of duty are also eligible. To ensure the accuracy of nominations, documentary proof of a candidate's service must accompany the Nomination Form. If selected, the street will be named in their honor.
