About
Description
Elmwood Community Resource Centre (ECRC) is a vital hub nestled along the banks of the Red River, serving the diverse community of Elmwood, home to approximately 17,000 residents. Elmwood thrives with a vibrant local economy, well-maintained homes and streets, and picturesque parks and green spaces. However, what truly sets Elmwood apart is its caring community, genuinely focused on the well-being and prosperity of its people.
Established in March 2001, ECRC was created to better serve the growing needs of Elmwood. It originated from the collaboration of the Elmwood Interagency Network, Chalmers Neighbourhood Project, and West Elmwood Residents Association, in consultation with the Elmwood Community. In May 2002, the three organizations merged, evolving into the Elmwood Community Resource Centre, which oversees the center's programs and community development initiatives.
ECRC’s mission is to build a stronger community in Elmwood by providing essential resources and support that make the neighborhood an exceptional place to live, work, and raise a family. From family programs to education and employment initiatives and cultural programs, ECRC offers a wide range of services tailored to meet the diverse needs of Elmwood residents. By fostering positive outcomes for everyone, Elmwood envisions a community that thrives together.
