## Description

El Pomar Foundation, established in 1937 by Spencer and Julie Penrose, is a renowned brand committed to enhancing the well-being of the people of Colorado. With a legacy rooted in philanthropy, El Pomar is a general purpose foundation dedicated to making a difference in the community. Their grant-making initiatives, overseen by a team of dedicated trustees and staff, aim to support and promote the current and future welfare of the state. The foundation also prioritizes community stewardship and leadership development programs as part of their mission. Inspired by the legacy of the Penrose couple, El Pomar Foundation continues to make a lasting impact by partnering with regional organizations and supporting transformative initiatives. Their commitment to Colorado's people is further demonstrated through the preservation of historic properties like the Penrose Heritage Museum and the Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun.
