# eElurikkus

- **Website:** <https://elurikkus.eu>
- **Primary alias:** `elurikkus.eu`

## Description

Its aim is to make data from research, environmental monitoring and citizen science accessible in one place. The portal draws on taxonomy, ecology, phylogenetics, conservation and other biodiversity resources, contributed by individuals, research teams and institutions using the shared PlutoF database platform.

Visitors can explore species records, taxonomic lists, geographic distributions and observations, covering animals, fungi, plants and bacteria. The site also provides tools for searching records by location, reviewing monitoring data, browsing protected species and exploring biodiversity in national parks and other areas. Dedicated resources include bird and plant distribution atlases, sound observations, photographs, videos, scientific collections, DNA-based observations, publications and research projects.

eElurikkus supports biodiversity data management and collection through related tools, including the PlutoF workspace, the PlutoF GO mobile app, Legulus and Minu loodusheli for recording sound observations. The portal also connects users with data-sharing and publishing services such as GBIF, DataCite and GenBank.
