It reuses information from the French Ministry of the Interior’s National Directory of Elected Officials (RNE), published under the Open Licence 2.0, and is not affiliated with the ministry or any public institution. The site provides searchable profiles and listings for mayors, municipal councillors, departmental and regional representatives, members of the National Assembly and Senate, and French members of the European Parliament. Users can explore officials by commune, department, region, political group and other categories, and consult election results, parliamentary votes, rankings and information about elected officials’ declared professions. The platform also offers tools such as an elected-official search, a public API, an indemnity simulator and a coalition simulator. elus.fr says its coverage includes 34,868 communes and more than 573,000 officials in office, with data updated from the RNE. Designed for citizens, journalists and researchers, it presents public information for exploration and reuse; official administrative matters should be directed to the relevant town hall or prefecture.
