## Description

WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities is the World Resources Institute’s program focused on making cities work better for everyone. Working with partners and local leaders, it aims to create urban places that are resilient, inclusive and low-carbon, benefiting people, nature and the climate. Its experts operate in more than 150 cities across 75 countries, combining practical, data-driven research with long-term partnerships to help decision-makers plan and deliver lasting change.

The program addresses the challenges of rapid urban growth, including inequality, climate change, ecosystem loss and gaps in access to essential services. Its work spans urban mobility, urban development, and urban efficiency and climate. Projects and guidance support safer, more sustainable transport; electric mobility and better public transit; livable neighborhoods that connect people to jobs and opportunities; housing and urban land-use planning; resilient water systems; and improvements to the built environment and air quality. WRI Ross Center also shares research, publications, news and events to inform urban policy and practice.
