## Description

The Embroiderers’ Guild is a UK-based educational charity dedicated to promoting and preserving embroidery, stitch and textile art. Its mission is to build awareness of these creative practices by educating, encouraging and inspiring people, while promoting excellence in textile work. The Guild welcomes beginners, experienced stitchers and anyone interested in textiles, offering an inclusive community rather than an exclusive membership group.

Members and visitors can explore projects and challenges, learn about the Guild’s collection and access textile resources and publications. The organisation also creates opportunities to take part in collaborative projects and showcases the work of graduates and scholars through its education programmes, scholarships and graduate showcase. Its learning and events programme includes online talks, demonstrations, workshops, courses and in-person activities.

The Guild publishes The Creative Thread, a digital magazine available free to members or for purchase, and provides information about Embroidery magazine and Stitch. Membership is available, and the Guild also invites people to join its mailing list or support its charitable work through donations.
