## Description

Em Diálogo is the Association for Social Development of Póvoa de Lanhoso, created to address gaps in social support across the municipality. Since 1998, it has worked to be a reference in community development, providing services with an emphasis on proximity and responding to people’s needs and expectations. Its motto, “Be where others are not and do what others do not,” reflects this commitment.

The association offers services for children, older people and people seeking inclusion and support. Its childhood programmes include a crèche, P.O.T.L. and Escola Aberta. Services for seniors include an atelier, day centre, residential care (ERPI), home support (SAD), Felicidade em Casa and initiatives focused on ageing, including Integrar o Envelhecimento and Projeto Viver a Vida. Its inclusion work includes Alinhar Sentidos, the Vale do Cávado Community Centre, Snoezelen and Sob Rodas. Em Diálogo also provides training and develops partnerships to strengthen community support. Through these services and collaborations, the organisation seeks to promote social development and respond to the varied needs of the local community.
