## Description

Emigrazione Parmense is a digital archive and documentation centre dedicated to the history of migration from Parma, with a particular focus on the Alta Val Taro area. Based at the Episcopal Seminary in Bedonia, the centre collects and preserves records and materials relating to the experiences of people who left the region. Its research documents migration from the late 15th century to the present, offering a broad historical perspective that supports historical, anthropological, and social study.

Through its website, visitors can explore more than 5,000 items gathered from public and private archives, civil and parish registers, personal correspondence, photographs, and objects. An online archive search lets users look for people or places, while themed resources organize material across the 16th through 20th centuries. The collection is intended for a wide audience, including specialist researchers, students, and curious visitors seeking information or deeper context. As an interactive, multimedia archive, the site also aims to encourage contact, exchange, and the sharing of materials, information, and discussion about migration and its changing history.
