## Description

Emiko Davies is an engaging and talented Australian-Japanese food writer, photographer, and cookbook author based in Italy. With a passion for regional Italian cuisine and travel, Emiko has been writing about it for over a decade. Her love for food led her to open her own space for hosting cooking classes and food and natural wine experiences in San Miniato, a charming hilltop village between Florence and Pisa. Emiko has written six cookbooks, including Florentine: The True Cuisine of Florence, Acquacotta, Tortellini at Midnight, Torta della Nonna, Cinnamon & Salt, and her upcoming book, Gohan, which explores the Japanese cuisine of her upbringing. Her culinary expertise is well-recognized, with regular recipe columns in publications like Corriere della Sera’s Cook liftout and Food52. She has also appeared on TV shows and has been nominated as a Rosewood Placemaker for Tuscany. In addition to her cookbooks and writing, Emiko offers cooking classes and workshops at her natural wine bar and cooking school, Enoteca Marilu. She also shares her favorite recommendations and travel articles for Florence and Tuscany, making it a go-to resource for food enthusiasts visiting the area.
