## Description

Founded in 1977, Emmaüs Toulouse is a nonprofit association working to combat inequality, exclusion and poverty while giving a voice to people whose rights and dignity are too often overlooked. Guided by the principles of the social and solidarity economy, it places human dignity, inclusion and environmental responsibility at the heart of its work.

The association provides a welcoming community and a place to live and take part in meaningful activities for people facing severe hardship. Hundreds of companions contribute to its work, gaining opportunities to rebuild their lives and regain an active place in society. Emmaüs Toulouse also gives donated objects a second life through reuse and recycling. Its sales locations offer pre-owned goods, allowing customers to shop more responsibly while supporting the association’s social mission. The organization accepts donations and provides collection services, including for businesses, and invites people to get involved in its initiatives.

By reducing waste and promoting alternatives to excessive consumption, Emmaüs Toulouse connects practical environmental action with social solidarity.
