## Description

Emmer & Rye, a renowned restaurant in Austin, TX, opened its doors in 2015 with a unique concept centered around celebrating the farmer's harvest. With a menu that changes daily, the restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience with a strong emphasis on seasonal and local cuisine. Be prepared to indulge in the freshest ingredients as Emmer & Rye mills heirloom grains on-site to create their own pasta, bread, and desserts. In addition, their commitment to sustainable practices is commendable. As a carbon-neutral restaurant, Emmer & Rye works with Zero FoodPrint to offset their carbon emissions. Inspired by the ancient emmer wheat, a staple grain consumed by hunter gatherers for centuries, Emmer & Rye also explores other forgotten grains, incorporating them into their pastas and breads to create unique and flavorful dishes. Chef Kevin's time in Copenhagen influenced his culinary philosophy, highlighting the vibrancy of produce and the balance of flavors. Come and experience the exquisite flavors and innovative dishes that only Emmer & Rye can offer.
