## Description

Empathy MindCare is a physician-led psychiatry practice serving adolescents and adults in Walnut Creek, California, and Zephyr Cove, Nevada. Founded around whole-person, science-based care, the practice combines advanced brain treatments with therapy and medication management in coordinated treatment plans. Psychiatrist Dr. Richard Bermudes brings more than 20 years of experience and training in psychiatry and family medicine, with care designed to consider both mental and physical factors that can affect brain health.

Services include FDA-cleared Deep TMS, evidence-based psychotherapy using approaches such as CBT and ACT, and physician-led medication management. The practice also offers metabolic and whole-body brain health care, connecting mood and cognition with metabolism. Empathy MindCare treats conditions including depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, addiction, chronic pain, and cognitive concerns. Deep TMS is FDA-cleared for major depression in patients aged 15 and older, and for smoking cessation. Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and esketamine (Spravato) are planned but are not yet available; the practice invites prospective patients to inquire about future access.
