## Description

The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) is an international, non-profit NGO made up of more than 70 member institutes worldwide. It collects and analyzes seismic data contributed by seismological organizations, alongside reports from earthquake eyewitnesses, to rapidly determine and share information about seismic events. EMSC provides real-time earthquake information for events above magnitude 5 in the European-Mediterranean region and above magnitude 7 elsewhere.

Its services include an interactive earthquake map, searchable records, data queries, seismic information, special reports, and updates on recent and felt earthquakes. Through its LastQuake service, including Android and iOS apps and a free, ad-free Messenger bot, users can receive information about earthquakes and report what they felt. EMSC also offers earthquake news and information about citizen seismology, its mission, partners, and work. By combining institutional seismic monitoring with observations from the public, the organization helps make earthquake information accessible to people and communities around the world.
