## Description

Mission Mt Somers is an annual trail-running event presented by Enduranz Events Limited, which has been organising the event since 2015. Held at Staveley in Canterbury, New Zealand, it invites participants to choose from four distances: a 42km marathon, a 21km half marathon, a 10km off-road run and a 5km off-road run. The courses showcase the area’s mountain tracks, foothill forests, streams and views across the Canterbury Plains.

The marathon starts and finishes at Staveley Village Store, traversing gravel roads, farm tracks and technical single track on the Mt Somers Loop. The half marathon includes a climb to the Mt Somers saddle and a descent past Pinnacles Hut. The 10km route offers an introduction to off-road running, while the 5km course is designed for aspiring runners and follows part of the shorter route. Enduranz Events also provides race information, registration, rules, results and event galleries, helping runners prepare and stay connected with Mission Mt Somers.
