## Description

The European Network of Ombudspersons for Children (ENOC) is a prominent not-for-profit association dedicated to upholding and protecting children's rights across Europe. Established in 1997, ENOC connects independent children's rights institutions (ICRIs) from 34 countries, facilitating collaboration and advocacy efforts aimed at implementing the principles set out in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

The organization serves as a vital forum for exchanging information and strategies among its members and works to promote the establishment of ICRIs worldwide. ENOC's core activities include policy advocacy, capacity building, and strategic interventions on issues affecting children's rights. The network actively encourages children's participation in decision-making processes concerning their rights and welfare.

With a Secretariat based in Strasbourg, France, ENOC operates with partial EU funding, demonstrating a commitment to ensuring child rights remain at the forefront of European legislation and policies. Its rigorous standards and values guide its operations, fostering a collaborative and impactful approach to children's advocacy on a global scale.
