## Description

Entlastungsdienst Schweiz provides reliable, flexible care and support for people of all ages who live with illness or disability, as well as practical relief for their family caregivers. Its services are tailored to individual needs and support children, young people, adults and seniors. Care is provided in the familiar home environment, helping people maintain an independent life in the place they choose while giving relatives time and space to manage everyday demands. The organisation emphasises personal, consistent support through a regular caregiver, building trust and continuity. Families can learn about the care process, registration, regional contacts and prices, and urgent support is also listed among the available services. Entlastungsdienst operates through regional organisations, including Aargau-Solothurn, Bern, Zurich, both Basel, Freiburg and Schaffhausen, alongside a Swiss umbrella organisation. Its wider work includes training and development for caregivers, recruitment, information for referring professionals, and opportunities to support the organisation through donations and legacies. The aim is to improve quality of life for both people receiving support and those who care for them.
