## Description

The Swiss Entomological Society (SES), established in 1858, is dedicated to the study and promotion of insect research in Switzerland. This esteemed society serves as a hub for both professional and amateur entomologists, fostering collaboration and enhancing the scientific understanding of the country's rich insect fauna. The SES conducts numerous activities to engage its members, including the publication of journals such as "Alpine Entomology" and the "Fauna Helvetica" book series, which showcase original research and reviews related to insects and other arthropods.

In addition to publishing valuable resources, the SES organizes events like annual meetings, seminars, and workshops that facilitate knowledge exchange and networking among entomologists. The society also advocates for insect conservation through various grants and awards, illustrating its commitment to biodiversity and ecological studies. Through these endeavors, the Swiss Entomological Society aims to elevate the awareness of insect biodiversity and its significance in our ecosystem, continually inviting new members to join this vibrant community.
