## Description

The East Palo Alto Community Archive (EPACA) is a community-led initiative dedicated to collecting, sharing, promoting, celebrating, and preserving East Palo Alto’s history for future generations. It provides a public space to explore local stories and materials, while inviting residents to contribute their own memories and records. The archive also connects history with present-day community life through events, news, and educational programs.

EPACA features collections such as video interviews with East Palo Alto neighbors and documentary stories about local people and ideas. Its activities include public celebrations, history panels, candidate forums, cultural events, and programs recognizing community leaders and changemakers. Through its Culture Keepers summer program, high school students learn about local history and gain experience conducting oral histories and interviewing family and community members. EPACA also shares information about local issues and opportunities for civic participation, and collaborates with community organizations on events and projects. Residents can explore the archive, submit materials, attend activities, and support the initiative, helping preserve the diverse experiences and shared heritage of East Palo Alto.
