## Description

Environmental Professionals of Arizona (EPAZ) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization serving Arizona’s environmental professional community. Founded in 1986 as the HAZWaste Society, it brings together members from government, industry, business, academia, consulting, engineering, and environmental services. Its purpose is to encourage environmental stewardship and strengthen collaboration among professionals.

EPAZ offers networking and educational opportunities through events such as monthly luncheon meetings, mixers, an annual conference, and a golf tournament. Its programs support the exchange of knowledge across environmental disciplines, including air, water, waste, pollution prevention, sustainability, safety, and climate change. Members can participate in committees, access career resources and job listings, and connect with peers through professional and community activities.

The organization also supports students pursuing environmentally related fields in Arizona through its scholarship program. Proceeds from educational events and activities benefit the EPAZ Scholarship Fund, and the organization shares employment opportunities and encourages professional development. Guided by a mission to promote leadership in environmental management through collaboration, education, and community outreach, EPAZ works to cultivate a diverse, connected, and engaged membership.
