## Description

Epik Fails of History is a history-focused blog created by Erik Slader, exploring the missteps, disasters, and unexpected twists that have shaped human events. Inspired by stories that are “unfortunately true,” the site ranges from ancient history and mythology to modern events, science, aviation, exploration, and space. Its articles cover subjects such as the Fall of Troy, the Great Emu War, historical figures, nuclear near-misses, and the Y2K scare, presenting history with an entertaining, irreverent perspective.

The brand also offers books, including Epic Fails: The Age of Exploration: Totally Getting Lost, and a podcast featuring episodes on historical mishaps and unusual events. Podcast installments include discussions of the Mongol invasions of Japan, pirates, nuclear incidents, and space exploration, often with co-hosts or guest contributors. Visitors can browse themed categories, read featured and recent articles, explore videos, and find information about the books and podcast. A newsletter subscription is also available for readers who want updates on new articles and episodes.
