## Description

EPISOM is a UK-based registered charity and epilepsy support hub working to improve understanding of epilepsy and ensure that individuals and families do not face it alone. With a particular focus on Somali and migrant communities, the charity provides culturally inclusive, language-aware support and works to challenge stigma and misunderstanding through education, advocacy and community engagement.

Its resources offer clear, medically accurate information about epilepsy, including its causes, seizure types, myths and treatments. EPISOM also provides opportunities for people affected by epilepsy to connect, share experiences and find local support groups. Its community activities include awareness campaigns, workshops, educational resources and bilingual signposting for families. People can get involved by volunteering, sharing their stories, attending events, supporting awareness work in schools, mosques and community spaces, or donating to help fund the charity’s programmes.

EPISOM aims to create a safe and compassionate environment where people can feel understood and supported. Based in London, it shares updates, community stories and event information through its social channels, and welcomes enquiries from individuals and potential partners.
