## Description

The Environmental Photographer of the Year (EPOTY) competition, now in its 16th year, is a prestigious platform that celebrates powerful and thought-provoking imagery highlighting the environmental challenges facing our planet. Organized by CIWEM in collaboration with WaterBear and presented by Nikon, EPOTY invites photographers of all ages and skill levels from around the globe to showcase their work, fostering a community dedicated to sustainable living and awareness.

This year, the competition featured several categories, including Environmental Photographer of the Year and Nikon's Young Environmental Photographer of the Year, among others, which spotlight innovative approaches to environmental issues. The entries range from stunning landscapes affected by climate change to compelling narratives about resilience and adaptation in the face of adversity.

EPOTY champions the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing the collective responsibility to address critical challenges such as climate action and equality. Join the movement and be inspired by the remarkable stories told through photography.
