## Description

EPPO OEPP, or the European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organization, is an international organization dedicated to cooperation and harmonization in plant protection within the European and Mediterranean region. Established in 1951, EPPO works to protect plant health in agriculture, forestry, and the uncultivated environment. Their main objectives include developing strategies to combat the introduction and spread of pests, promoting the use of safe and effective pest control methods, and providing documentation and information services on plant protection. EPPO achieves these goals through setting regional standards, organizing technical meetings and conferences, publishing journals and databases, and participating in global activities related to phytosanitary measures. With over 50 member countries, including all EU member states, EPPO plays a vital role in safeguarding plant health and biodiversity in the region.
