EPTRI, the European Paediatric Transnational Research Infrastructure, is a pan-European network connecting specialised research units across Europe and beyond. It aims to strengthen paediatric research and increase knowledge about children’s growth and development to support the identification of new therapies. EPTRI brings together research expertise, strategies, technologies, standardised models and analytical tools to provide qualified services for public and private stakeholders. Its integrated support spans basic, preclinical and translational research, helping advance the discovery and development of medicines for children and bridge scientific findings with practical health solutions.

The organisation also supports research engagement through patient and family resources, educational materials, webinars, podcasts, publications and events. Its OrphaDev4Kids initiative invites academics, researchers, startups, industry, organisations and patient-led developers to seek support for creating medical devices or adapting existing products for paediatric and orphan populations. EPTRI promotes paediatric research in the European agenda through its manifesto and shares opportunities, projects and updates with its network. Through collaboration and specialist services, EPTRI works to advance research and innovation addressing children’s health needs.
