## Description

Equal Care is a civic initiative and project of the nonprofit association klische*esc e.V. It works to make care work—including mental load, caregiving, and everyday support—more visible, valued, and fairly shared. Its central public event, Equal Care Day, takes place on February 29 or March 1 and draws attention to the social and economic consequences of unequal care responsibilities. The initiative connects individuals, businesses, associations, and community groups, helping them develop and deliver ideas to address the care gap and promote structural change. It offers event partners use of the Equal Care Day name and logo, a calendar and platform, publicity and press support, expertise, networks, and materials. Its activities also include festivals, workshops, online events, an action map, educational resources, and Mental Load materials, including tests and downloadable or online content. The Equal Care Manifest, developed through a 2020 conference, guides its work and sets out demands and proposals.
