## Description

Equals Outdoors is an outdoor club and consultancy focused on helping people from marginalised, diverse and disadvantaged communities feel welcome and develop a lasting sense of belonging outdoors. Rooted in SAAIL’s longstanding work with young people and adults, the organisation supports both individuals seeking outdoor experiences and groups working to make them more accessible.

Its club offers a welcoming way to explore activities such as walking, climbing and camping, learn skills, build confidence and connect with others. Beginners are welcome, and the approach recognises that people may have different starting points or feel uncertain about getting involved.

Through its consultancy, Equals Outdoors provides practical advice and support to organisations, community groups and individuals who want to open outdoor opportunities to more people. The team emphasises listening, clear information and informed choices, with the aim of helping people gain the knowledge, connections and independence to shape their own relationship with the outdoors. Equals Outdoors also shares projects, routes and culture, and invites prospective members and partners to begin with a conversation.
