Equal Times is a trilingual global news and opinion website that focuses on various important issues such as labour, human rights, culture, development, the environment, politics, and the economy from a social justice perspective. Established in 2012, our independent and progressive platform aims to amplify voices and viewpoints that are often under-represented or absent from mainstream news coverage. At Equal Times, we prioritize well-researched, original journalism over being the first to report. We are situated in the heart of Europe and receive support from the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), the International Labour Organization (ILO), the European Union, and other donor organizations. Our work is deeply rooted in the global movement to defend workers' rights, protect human rights, preserve the environment, promote sustainable and equitable development, and celebrate the diversity of cultures worldwide. We have a dedicated team of translators and work with a vast network of freelance journalists to bring a more socially-conscious and democratic form of journalism to our readers. Additionally, our opinion and blogs sections feature contributions from various individuals including workers' rights leaders, civil society representatives, activists, and original thinkers. Equal Times is committed to the principles outlined in the International Federation of Journalists' Global Charter of Ethics for Journalists.
