## Description

Equestrian Interschools Ireland is a premier organization dedicated to promoting equestrian sports among students across Ireland. Established in 1990 as the ‘Finches League,’ it has evolved to encompass various disciplines including dressage, eventing, and hunter trials, catering to the needs of competitive schools. The league has a strong history, having gained notable sponsorships from Irish Ferries, TRI Equestrian, and Equieire, which helps facilitate significant prize funds and support for participants. The organization became membership-based in 2016, making it accessible for schools to join and participate in structured competitions. Events include annual competitions, such as the Balmoral Show's Interschools Championships, fostering cross-border participation and a sense of community among young equestrians. While the COVID-19 pandemic posed challenges, the league resumed activities steadily, reaffirming its commitment to nurturing equestrian talent in Ireland. Equestrian Interschools Ireland continues to thrive, driven by its passionate leadership and an enthusiastic community of schools and riders.
