Its mission is to care for retired horses and ponies, including those with physical or behavioural difficulties, and to promote animal welfare and communication between people and animals. The horses live together in a herd throughout the year in a calm, supportive setting, with particular attention to health, gradual adaptation and respectful care. The centre specialises in welcoming retired horses and those with asthma or emphysema. It uses an active stable system and provides access to specialist care, suitable feed and a nebuliser for owners to use when needed.
