## Description

The European Resuscitation Council (ERC) is dedicated to preserving human life by promoting high-quality resuscitation standards across Europe and beyond since its inception in 1989. The ERC serves as a pivotal authority in the field of resuscitation, comprising 32 National Resuscitation Councils responsible for implementing life-saving guidelines and training programs. The organization's core mission includes the development and dissemination of European Resuscitation Guidelines, which are instrumental for both healthcare professionals and lay rescuers. ERC's extensive offerings include robust e-learning courses, practical training sessions, and resources through their Congress, where international experts converge to discuss the latest in resuscitation science. Significant initiatives like the annual European Restart a Heart Day raise public awareness and encourage widespread training to empower individuals to act in emergencies. By facilitating scientific studies and participating in international collaborations, the ERC ensures that the latest evidence-based practices are at the forefront of resuscitation efforts, making life-saving techniques accessible to all.
