## Description

KFF, also known as the Kaiser Family Foundation, stands as the preeminent health policy organization in the United States. Established in 1991 by Dr. Drew Altman, this nonprofit organization is dedicated to providing independent and reliable information about national health issues. Headquartered in San Francisco with an office in Washington, D.C., KFF specializes in policy research, polling, and journalism, thereby serving as a vital resource for understanding complex health topics.

KFF's extensive range of work encompasses five major program areas: policy analysis, polling, public health information campaigns, journalism, and addressing health misinformation. Their comprehensive studies cover pressing issues such as the Affordable Care Act, COVID-19, Medicaid, Medicare, and women's health policy. By integrating rigorous research and polling alongside impactful journalism, KFF aims to inform policymakers and the public, counterbalancing vested health interests with credible data and insights. Through their various initiatives, KFF plays a crucial role in shaping health policy discourse and promoting informed decision-making across the country.
