## Description

Erling Pedersen is a Norwegian author and playwright whose work spans historical fiction, novels, short stories, children’s books, and dramatic presentations. His writing often brings overlooked people and periods to life through vivid character studies and an interest in human relationships, hardship, faith, and social change.

His historical novels include Der min konge er, published in 2020, and Ordet og sverdet, the second volume in a planned trilogy about lives shaped by the Reformation in Europe. The books explore figures including Katharina von Bora, Isabella of Burgundy, Anne Boleyn, Martin Luther, and Hans Tausen. A third volume, planned for 2027, will focus on the Reformation in Norway. Other available titles include the short-story collection Den spanske, the novel Høst, and illustrated children’s books Lisa og havørnungen and Minstens lange reise.

Pedersen sells selected books directly, including print and digital editions, and offers author meetings, lectures, talks, and performances. These include presentations about the Spanish flu, Luther’s life and hymns, and educational productions combining Norwegian, science, and arts and crafts.
