## Description

Ermitage is an independent French dairy cooperative founded in 1931 by 211 milk producers seeking to preserve their independence and make quality cheese. Owned by its producers, the cooperative now collects milk from around 1,000 farms across the Grand Est and Bourgogne-Franche-Comté regions. Nearly 1,000 employees transform this milk, with a focus on traditional cheesemaking, regional expertise and high standards of quality. Ermitage offers a diverse range of cheeses, including regional varieties and products designed for sharing and everyday meals. Its range includes cheese for tartiflette, as well as Comté, Morbier and raw-milk Raclette. The brand also shares recipes and serving ideas, including From’Chaud, a cheese that can be enjoyed warm straight from its box. Ermitage highlights its French milk sourcing, producers, certifications and environmental initiatives, and shares news about its products and award-winning cheeses. Consumers can explore recipes and product information online, while producers have access to a dedicated cooperative member area. The cooperative’s work brings together local agriculture, cheesemaking know-how and a commitment to its territories.
