## Description

eRouška is a pioneering mobile application developed in the Czech Republic to combat the spread of COVID-19 through innovative technology. Part of the Ministry of Health's Smart Quarantine system, eRouška aids users in identifying potentially risky encounters with infected individuals while prioritizing privacy. With over 1.7 million users, the app has provided more than 400,000 alerts regarding possible exposure and recommended safe behavior guidelines.

eRouška ensures anonymized data collection via Bluetooth, allowing it to function effectively in various environments without tracking user location. When a user is diagnosed with COVID-19, they can alert others without revealing their identity, promoting communal health safety. The application can interface with similar EU systems to track international contacts, further enhancing its protective capabilities.

Although eRouška 2.0 has suspended operations as the pandemic evolves, it has made a significant contribution to public health, demonstrating the importance of technology in managing health crises while safeguarding individual data privacy.
