## Description

ESAF 2028 Thun Berner Oberland is the organising brand for the 2028 Swiss Wrestling and Alpine Festival, known by its German abbreviation, ESAF. The event will take place in Thun from 25 to 27 August 2028, bringing Switzerland’s national sport and a major public celebration to the Bernese Oberland for the first time in 72 years. The organising committee’s vision is to unite tradition and contemporary culture, sport, community and partnership in a festival for the whole country.

The festival site will be set against the region’s mountain and lake scenery and is planned to be accessible within minutes from Thun railway station. Information for visitors, media, associations and sponsors is available through the official website, including frequently asked questions and media releases. Plans also include camping and tent options at Burgerallmend, with hotel and motel accommodation available across the wider region. The brand’s official logo reflects Thun, the Bernese Oberland, the Swiss cross and the sport of wrestling.
