## Description

The European Society of Contact Dermatitis (ESCD) is dedicated to advancing the study and treatment of contact dermatitis across Europe and beyond. Through its initiatives, the society promotes awareness and understanding of this prevalent skin condition while striving to enhance the lives of affected patients. ESCD collaborates closely with healthcare authorities and industry stakeholders to mitigate occupational skin risks and implement effective strategies against contact allergies. ESCD organizes biennial congresses and specialized symposia to facilitate knowledge sharing among dermatologists and researchers. In addition to these events, the society offers resources such as patient information leaflets, guidelines, and educational materials on patch testing and allergen sensitivities, including the European Baseline series. The structure of ESCD includes a dedicated executive committee and various working parties focused on specific topics like fragrance allergies and photopatch testing. Through these efforts, ESCD is at the forefront of promoting skin health and fostering professional development in the field of dermatology.
