UPTEC is a brand that offers a program called School of Startups, an acceleration program for business ideas promoted by UPTEC – Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto. This three-month program is designed to prepare entrepreneurs to create and develop new business projects. Participants have the opportunity to interact with new tools and concepts, validate their ideas in the market, and work with structures and people who can help them succeed.

The School of Startups targets graduate entrepreneurs with business ideas in arts, sciences, technologies, health, or cleantech who want to start their own companies. By joining this program, participants can benefit from working in UPTEC spaces, receiving mentoring, attending pitch training sessions, and networking with partners, investors, and entrepreneurs. The program has already supported 202 projects and created 70 new companies in 11 editions.
