## Description

CEI Mi Cuento is an early childhood education brand with two centres in Utrera, Seville, Spain. Its team provides a caring, safe environment where young children are treated as individuals and supported as active participants in their own development. The centres are part of the Andalusian regional government’s family assistance programme, helping make early education more accessible.

Mi Cuento’s educational approach draws on active, humanistic perspectives associated with Montessori, Reggio Emilia and Emmi Pikler. Educators observe children, respect individual rhythms and encourage autonomy rather than directing every learning experience. Prepared spaces and inviting materials support free play, movement, exploration and emotional expression.

The centres offer personalised attention and plans adapted to each child’s needs, along with ongoing communication and close relationships with families. Their activities include sensory exploration, experimentation, music, psychomotor development, gardening and practical life experiences. Mi Cuento’s project places children’s wellbeing and holistic development at its centre, fostering respect, creativity, joyful participation and a sense of belonging throughout each day.
