With approximately 4,200 members, including researchers, students, and people working in related professions, it supports the development and exchange of ecological knowledge and encourages its application for public benefit. The society organizes academic conferences, courses, and forums, and publishes the Japanese Journal of Ecology, Ecological Research, Conservation Ecology Research, newsletters, and books. It also provides information and resources for members, including membership services and ecological education support. Beyond research and publishing, the society contributes scientific perspectives to public discussions on issues such as nature conservation, ecosystem management, biodiversity, and climate change. Its agenda emphasizes international exchange, open science, interdisciplinary collaboration, and support for students and early-career researchers. The society also promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion, seeking to foster fair, accessible participation and address discrimination and harassment. Through these activities, it connects ecological researchers with one another and with practitioners and society at large. ## Industries - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Environmental Science _(under Science and Education)_ - 🧪 Biology _(under Science and Education)_ ## Links - [twitter](https://twitter.com/esjoffice) ## Logos & icons - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idio6a9PWg/w/256/h/256/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793749127174) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | San Marino | #3b679e | accent | | La Palma | #299a0b | dark | | Chestnut Rose | #cc6666 | light | ## Imagery - banner _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idio6a9PWg/w/1500/h/500/idZJZDu0p3.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793749127392) --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
