The organization offers development programs, education initiatives, post-secondary esports opportunities, and competitive play. Its national team program supports Canadian players competing internationally, while its national players commission and relationships with international federations contribute to representation and participation across the esports landscape. Esport Canada also highlights safe sport, governance, and policies as part of its work.
