## Description

The Esterhazy Singers is an amateur choir of around 50 members based at St Margaret Pattens Church in the City of London. Named after Haydn’s patrons, Princes Nicholas and Paul Anton Esterhazy, the choir combines a commitment to high musical standards with a welcoming community spirit. Its programmes range widely, featuring sacred and secular music, from Renaissance works to the Jazz Age, as well as anthems, motets, masses and seasonal carols. The choir presents concerts and also takes part in services, including guest appearances at venues such as Ely Cathedral. Its events include opportunities for singers to join special “Come & Sing” days, exploring works such as Handel’s Dixit Dominus. The Esterhazy Singers supports music students by offering bursaries that enable them to sing with the choir and develop their skills in leading an experienced ensemble. New members are welcome, and the choir provides information for prospective singers through its website. It also shares performance news and events and invites visitors to join its mailing list.
