Esther Horvath is a photographer whose work documents climate research and scientific life in the polar regions. A contributor photographer for National Geographic, Nikon Ambassador, and photographer for the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research, she collaborates with scientists and journalists to bring research stories to wider audiences. Her projects cover subjects including Arctic sea ice, polar nights, glaciers, and expeditions to the North Pole and Antarctica. Horvath’s photographs and stories have appeared in National Geographic, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, TIME, Audubon Magazine, and GEO Magazine. Alongside photography, she supports visual science communication through publications, books, films, and international exhibitions.
