## Description

EthaEarn is a global loyalty programme that rewards shoppers with Ether (ETH), a cryptocurrency, instead of conventional points. Customers earn a percentage of eligible purchases made with participating merchants, with rewards deposited monthly into a digital wallet on the first of each month, known as Ethaday. The programme is designed to be straightforward: shoppers sign in with a username and password, without needing plugins, crypto exchanges or private keys to get started. EthaEarn says its service is non-custodial and built on the Ethereum blockchain, so users own their Ether. As ETH is a publicly traded asset, its value can fluctuate. Users can withdraw, transfer, exchange, redeem or save their rewards. EthaEarn is preparing a marketplace where members will be able to check balances, transfer Ether, redeem gift cards and use Web3 services. Its first merchant is Ethanet, a New Zealand telecommunications provider offering customers 10% of their monthly mobile plan back in Ether. EthaEarn also plans a free Shopify plugin and invites shoppers and merchants to join its waitlist.
