## Description

Ethpar is an Ethereum-compatible Layer 1 blockchain developed by Parallel Logic Corporation for stablecoins and retail payments. Its mission is to provide infrastructure suited to merchant processing and connect the US retail payments market with the EVM. The project says it was built by a team of blockchain PhDs and merchant-processing experts, and its mainnet launched on February 17, 2025.

As a fork of Ethereum Layer 1, Ethpar retains Ethereum’s history up to its launch and supports existing smart contracts, wallets, and developer tools. Its design focuses on three features for stablecoin transactions: node-level isolation, wait-free transaction guarantees that do not depend on block intervals, and the ability to pay fees in stablecoins rather than blockchain tokens.

Ethpar offers access to a broader ecosystem that includes RPC services, a block explorer, oracles, stablecoins, NFT support, and bridge functionality. Users can connect compatible wallets, while developers and other participants can explore the network, run validators, or engage with its builder grant and community resources.
