## Description

ET: Legacy is an innovative open-source project dedicated to reviving and enhancing the popular multiplayer first-person shooter, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. Launched in 2003 by Splash Damage and id Software, this game places players in the heart of World War II, emphasizing teamwork through engaging objectives. The ET: Legacy initiative is built on the original game’s code, released under the GPLv3 license in 2010, and strives to deliver a fully compatible client and server experience for players nostalgic for the original gameplay.

This project not only fixes bugs and security vulnerabilities but also modernizes graphics and functionality while remaining true to the classic ET 2.60b. With features like a new game engine, Lua script support for mods, cross-platform compatibility, and a redesigned UI, ET: Legacy enhances user experience while ensuring compatibility with existing mods. The dedicated development team welcomes community involvement and contributions, fostering a collaborative environment for players and developers alike. Join the adventure and rediscover the battle!
