## Description

The Etobicoke Basketball Association (EBA) has been a cornerstone of youth basketball in Central Etobicoke since its formation in 1968 by Walter Cebrynsky and James M. Walker. Established to provide young players with a platform to develop their basketball skills, the EBA emphasizes participation over competition. Over the years, the league has grown significantly, expanding from its original three divisions to accommodate over 1,000 players across multiple programs, including Boys and Girls Divisions, House League, and Rep programs.

The EBA not only fosters talent through its competitive teams, but it also offers engaging programs like Junior Hoops for younger children and a Men's League, promoting community involvement through clinics, tournaments, and summer camps. Under the leadership of current president Ray Chateau, the EBA has solidified its reputation as a leading basketball community, committed to safe sport practices and player development. With an enduring focus on inclusivity and growth, the EBA continues to inspire young athletes to discover their potential both on and off the court.
