## Description

Étoile Boréale is an eco-friendly holiday cottage in Montcel, Savoie, welcoming up to four guests throughout the year. Set at an altitude of 800 metres between Aix-les-Bains, Lake Bourget and the Savoie Grand Revard ski area, it sits at the foothills of the Bauges Regional Nature Park, a UNESCO-recognised Geopark. The renovated 1900s Savoyard farmhouse offers panoramic views across the valley, from the Jura mountains to Semnoz and Col de la Cochette.

The cottage combines comfortable accommodation with a commitment to responsible living. Its renovation followed passive-building principles and used ecological, local materials. The property runs on renewable solar energy with electricity storage, uses plant-based wastewater treatment, and provides recycling and composting. Its permaculture garden is maintained without pesticides, and the hosts favour organic and local products.

Guests can enjoy a peaceful retreat and explore nearby trails on foot or by bicycle. Activities and attractions include hiking, cycling, skiing, paragliding, thermal baths, and swimming at Lake Bourget or Lake Annecy.
