## Description

ETOR 40-45, short for European Theater of Operations Reenactment 40-45, is a Dutch historical reenactment association focused on the Second World War and the 1940–1945 period. The group brings history to life through several distinct portrayals, including three Allied formations and one German unit. Its Allied groups represent US Airborne, Belgian SAS, and Canadian infantry, while its German group includes the 719th Infantry Division and a light anti-aircraft unit. ETOR 40-45 is affiliated with the Landelijk Platform Levende Geschiedenis (LPLG), the Dutch national platform for living history. The association aims to help communicate the history of the war to present and future generations, while encouraging people to value the freedom they have today. Visitors can learn about its Allied and German portrayals, check the group’s agenda, and contact representatives for further information. Those interested can also arrange an introductory meeting or inquire about membership and taking part in the association’s activities. Since 2016, ETOR 40-45 has used a logo designed to better reflect its historical portrayals.
