## Description

The European Union Monitoring Mission in Georgia (EUMM) is an unarmed civilian monitoring mission established by the European Union in 2008. With over 200 civilian monitors from EU member states, the mission aims to stabilize the situation on the ground following the August 2008 conflict. The monitors diligently observe compliance by all sides with the EU-brokered agreements signed by Georgia and Russia. Since its inception, the EUMM has been patrolling day and night in the areas adjacent to the South Ossetian and Abkhazian Administrative Boundary Lines.
